Dr. Vernamonti grew up in South Jersey. Having bad eyes as a young child and watching his grandfather go blind from cataracts and retinal disease, Dr. Vernamonti developed an interest in science and vision at an early age.
He attended St. Joseph's University where he was active in student council and served on the joint faculty/student congress. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychlology/Pre-Med from Rutgers University.
Dr. Vernamonti received his Doctor of Optometry in 1976 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia.
He was a founder and Clinic Director of NJ Diagnostic and Surgical Center at Kennedy Hospital in 1987. He served as Clinic Director for TLC-Mt. Laurel starting in 1997. He is a founding member of the American Optometric Association. He has lectured nationally and published articles on a wide varity of advanced eye care topics.
Dr. Vernamonti started his practice in Medford in 1979. He is active in the community and volunteers his time at several local churches. In his spare time Dr. Vernamonti loves to ski, sail and read books on history. He is an accomplished chef and "master mechanic" much to the delight of his family. His greatest pride will always be his two daughters.
